Let me be quick. You know, I have colds and
this gets the hell out of me. But my effin' mind really likes playing tricks
with me everytime so I need to get this done for if not, it will all be forever
gone.
One thing, whether Corona is guilty or not,
your opinion DOES NOT COUNT, people.
I've been hearing alot of clamours and everyone
seems so into this issue. Most of us were tweeting, posting status and even
blogging (like what I am doing now) about the ongoing impeachment trial of the
Highest Justice in the land, Chief Justice Renato Corona. But do all of these
count? NO.
Though your status receives a thousand or even
a million likes (which I doubt) or your tweet gets retweeted by, like, a
thousand of twitter addicts, YOUR OPINION STAYS JUST YOUR OPINION. It won't
matter. No, not until you become one of the senator judges. So what's the point
of fighting your opinion to death with your electronic friends in facebook and
twitter?
I'm not saying we should just ignore this
thang. You know it's kindasorta important for us, Filipino people. But for
crying out loud, arguing with other people won't actually do you any good.
Yeah, we all have that little devil in us who always think superior so it's
just normal for us to rant and act like, "Hey, I know this and that and
those and everything." but people, it ain't helping.
We talk and talk and talk about the trial
without even having any knowledge about it. I mean, yeah, maybe we watch it
everyday on news channels but hey! Do you really understand what those legal
terms meant and what these counsels are saying? Do you even know any of the
procedures and technicalities about impeachment? I, myself, don't know much
about it and this devil inside me is trying to act like a bitch and talking
like a genius now but actually, most of us just base our opinion from others'
opinion, from the opinions we hear from those professors we see on TV, from the
news anchors' points of view, from Corona himself, from the senators, the
prosecutors and the others. Because... no matter how difficult it may be for us
to admit, WE KNOW THAT WE ACTUALLY KNOW NOTHING.
What if this whole thang was just a scheme
directed by someone powerful? What if Corona is really not guilty? What if the
illness was just a drama? What if the prosecution panel was just making up
stories? What if the defense knows Corona is really hiding something and has
done something wrong? We don't know.
Those evidences could be fake. Those answers
could be just really well thought of to sound true and believable. You know,
all the while, we could be just victims of a perfectly orchestrated stage drama
and we're all so affected and so interested about it while the master of the
scheme lies laughing at us because we easily bought what they fed us.
Those professors being interviewed might know
the technicalities, those lawyers might know the procedures and the laws but no
one from these people really knows what's behind everything. No one from these clever people actually knows what happened at the filing of
impeachment, who's behind it, and whoever is telling the truth.
These could be all mere bullshits and lies and
we're so engrossed spitting out opinions we're not actually sure where the hell
came from.
Bottomline is... People, it's the senator
judges' duty and responsibility to decide whether Corona will be convicted or
acquitted, your opinion won't be heard inside the impeachment court, why not
just shut your silly mouths up and let them do their jobs?
If 16 senate judges cast their votes for him to
be put behind bars, then good for those who have already convicted him. If not
then, I think, it would be alot better for us. I'm no pro nor anti. I just
don't want any connivance happening among the three branches and more... an
indirect tyranny under a lame president. That’d be a complete curse.
So, with everything said, I guess I should be
getting some rest now ‘coz I’m already running out of voice (weird but that’s
my stress indicator.) So yeah, I’m saying I’m stressed. So there. Just leave
the trial at peace, people and make peace with your Facebook friends and
Twitter followers :D
