A Spark in the Sky

Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They're shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they're gone.

- Noah, The Notebook: Nicholas Spark

Was never a fan of novels. Actually think they're such a waste of time. But this one just speaks of love I could hardly imagine. The movie makes me cry... every time. And the words are just too sweet it never failed to leave me bitter thoughts.

Who would not want a Noah in her life? Who would not want to be written 365 letters a year? Who would not wish to be the reason why someone built a house from his own blood and sweat, a house of her dreams? Who, in her entire life, never dreamt to find that someone to whom she can share her thoughts with, conquer her fears and laugh at all cost with? Who didn't pray for someone who could be anybody just to see her happy? Or not want to die lying in the arms of the man she loves and the man who has loved her in his lifetime? Who never wished to fall in love?

This movie, though some parts may be hard to believe, was able to tug heartstrings and was able to make me hope that true love still exists. I strongly believe it still does. On some people. To those who was lucky enough to find that someone who knew them by soul, who have taken care of them inside his/her heart for so long before they came to life. It's rare. Love is rare.

Some are fortunate enough to have met their someone and were strong enough to have fought for them just to stay together. Others were so engrossed searching, so busy with stuffs that they let love pass by and be gone forever.

Still true love still exists. Maybe not on the same circle I am in, but in a certain part of the Earth's surface where lovers believe there is.

And no matter how swift a love story may be, it will always leave a certain portion in the heavens in awe for that spectacular magic of light it once shone though it may be forever gone.
